Dance For A Difference PDF Print E-mail

One hundred and fifty dancers from the school performed to a sell out capacity at The Ark in June 2011.

The pupils performed numbers including Me and My Teddy Bear to Cheer routines and The White Cliffs of Dover which was warmly welcomed by the audience.

The newly formed 'Believe Dance Company' made their first appearance and was instantly booked to appear in the Christians Together Pentecost Praise evening held just two weeks later.

The children of the school had been collecting presents, saving money in money box pigs and then rehearsing hard for this special show for a very good reason.

Carol, Principal of CJs through The Ark church which she attends, is connected to an orphanage in Burma and all the money CJ's raised was taken out to the home just a few weeks later personally by Carol, in fact a staggering £2250 was raised in total and the children of the home were treated to a TV and DVD, a generator, a trip to the zoo and the facilities of a truck to take them to church on Sundays.

Many children from the school gave presents individually wrapped to each child.....for most it was the only time they had received a present personally for them. To see photos of the trip click on this link
