Young Christopher selected for Leading Role!

Christopher Thomas who is just nine years old, auditioned for the role of Jeremy Potts in the musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, against tough opposition, with many children coming from London Stage Schools. He was successful in gaining the lead role alongside Georgina Hendry who plays Jemima as lead girl.

They are both currently appearing at The Sunderland Empire Theatre. Their roles are very demanding as they both have to be on stage for 70% of the time and have to act, sing and dance, not to mention being suspended some twenty feet above the stage in their fair dreams sequence and flying Chitty Chitty Bang Bang herself.

Performances started in December 2005 and continue until the end of February 2006. Christopher has thoroughly enjoyed all his experiences, which include meeting the cast and crew, having his own tutor and chaperone, and staying in the Marriott Hotel.

Everyone at CJ?s certainly wishes him luck for his promising future and are glad that all the work he puts into his lessons is helping him in his pursuit towards stardom.
