We have had an amazing term and something Dover should definitely be proud of.

We have had two big events in October and Dover children certainly showed the UK their talents.

Firstly we danced in the finals of The Mardi Gras Challenge at Sadlers Wells. We had a junior and senior troupe through to this and both did extremely well. The standard was very high with 60 Troupes competing. The senior troupe however really pulled out all stops and impressed the judges with their Carnival routine so much that they were awarded third place and received a crystal trophy and £500. Judges included Disney directors, London West End principal actors and Bonnie Langford. We were all very proud of them for working so hard to achieve such a high standard.

Then the following week we took 36 girls down to the Cheerleading Nationals in Brighton, once again CJ’s showed just what talent our local children have and came second in their first ever Cheerleading competition. Next year CJ’s is hoping to attend the International Cheerleading Competition and enter a Squad in three different age groups. They have already started working on new stunts and tumbling moves to further impress the judges. (Picture above shows the winning squad with their trophy).

Not to be out down the ladies from the BodyJam class took part in a one hour “Pink Aerobics” session to support the Breast Cancer Awareness month and raised over £400 for this great cause. Principal Carol Jenkins would like to say thank you to all ladies who took part to make this event so successful.

We do have spaces for new cheerleaders especially teenagers and boys, anyone interested in becoming a squad member should contact Carol on 07967707074 or 01304 211827
